33 Riders da tutta Europa si sono dati battaglia al tanto atteso Wake to Paradise 2014! Nomi importanti hanno preso parte a questo evento che ha letteralmente superato ogni aspettativa!! Set up del park completamente rinnovato per l’occasione con in acqua 1 spina da 130cm, un handrail di 70cm x 16m, un up rail con piattella di 10cm x12m, il super fun box del park ed un pipe rail alto 2.20m x 16m sistemato dietro ad un kicker 130cm.
Il format, divertente e dinamico, con una prima fase di qualifica per scremare velocemente i partecipanti, ha visto sedici atleti prendere parte alle semifinali. Le sfide testa a testa, con eliminazione diretta, hanno motivato i riders a compiere manovre impegnative fin dalle prime battute. Tra questi si sono fatti notare maggiormente Yannik Patòn dalla Spagna, Yanneck Konda dalla Germania, Carlo Orlando Italia, Marc Negre ed Alex Batar dalla Francia, ma a darsi battaglia per i primi posti sono stati Robin Leonard con il suo stile possente, i fratelli Hoppe con la loro famosa tecnicità e Nico Von Lerchenfeld con tutta la sua classe e fantasia nell’interpretare le strutture. Sfortunatamente Nico non ha potuto terminare la finale per il 3° e 4° posto a causa di un infortunio lasciando quindi il gradino più basso del podio a Jeremia Hoppe.
La finalissima per la vittoria ha visto il Vichingo Robin Leonard dare il meglio di sé, con una run solida, senza cadute, tirando giù in maniera violenta due 720, un half cab roll pazzesco e molti trick tecnici sui rail. Mattias Hoppe invece conquista la vittoria, nonostante sia inciampato qualche volta durante il percorso, ha fatto vedere che anche lui sa utilizzare le strutture e ha messo a segno rotazioni pazzesche dal kicker concludendo la sua run con un gigantesco e super solido Big Johnson.
Al calar del sole si sono svolte le premiazioni con a seguire un miss maglietta bagnata un po’ spinto… Non stanchi di tutto ciò si è dato via al party serale per festeggiare le varie vittorie e la splendida riuscita dell’evento!! Complimenti agli organizzatori, lo staff ed a tutti gli atleti in gara. Ci rivedremo il prossimo anno!!

33 Riders from all over Europe have battled to the long awaited Wake to Paradise 2014! Big Names of wakeboardingtook place in this event that has literally exceeded all the expectations !! The Set up of the park was completely renovated for the contest with in 1 spine 130cm, 1 handrail 70cm x 16m, a rail up with Piattella 10cm x12m, the super fun box of the park and a pipe rail 2.20mx 16m high placed behind a kicker 130cm.
The format, fun and dynamic, with a first phase of qualification, saw sixteen athletes take part in the semi-finals. The challenges head-to-head, knockout, have motivated the riders to perform challenging maneuvers right from the start.The riders Yannik Paton from Spain, Yanneck Konda from Germany, Italian Carlo Orlando, Marc Negre and Alex Batar from France going big, but Robin Leonard with his powerful style, the brothers Hoppe with their famous technicality and Nico Von Lerchenfeld with all his class and imagination in interpreting the structures, battled for the first places. Unfortunately, Nico was unable to finish the match for 3rd and 4th place due to an injury thus leaving the third place at Jeremia Hoppe.
The final game for the victory saw the Viking Robin Leonard give the best of themselves, with a solid run without falling, pulling down in a violent two 720, a crazy half cab roll and many technical tricks on the rails. Mattias Hoppe instead wins the contest, although it stumbled a few times along his run, he showed that he knows how to use the features and scored crazy rotations from the kicker ending his run with a giant and super solid Big Johnson.
At the going down of the sun were held with awards and below a miss washed t-shirt contest.. After the evening party to celebrate the many victories and the stunning success of the event !! Congratulations to the organizers, the staff and all the athletes in the contest. We’ll see you next year !!
