Sale la tensione per il 9° Campionato del Mondo di Cable Wakeboard a Morelos Acuaski Action Park, in Messico. Mentre i campioni del mondo in alcune categorie sono già stati incoronati, atleti e tifosi ora attendono con ansia la finale Open Donne e le categorie degli uomini il Sabato, 12 Novembre. Tutte le gare sarà trasmessa in diretta qui!
Guy Firer (ISR), attualmente 13 ° nella classifica mondiale IWWF Open Men, ha conquistato la vittoria nella Finale della categoria Junior Uomini Wakeboard (U19) con la run più divertente della giornata. Secondo e terzo posto tutto tedesco per Liam Rundholz e Florian Weiherer.
Nelle Donne Junion invece Vanessa Weinhauer (GER) ha ottenuto il primo posto, seguita dalla francese Juliette Labelle e dalla tedesca Joelina Gerards. Avendo già vinto il Campionato Europeo Junior nel mese di settembre, Vanessa ha coronato un anno perfetto dopo una lunga pausa a causa di un infortunio con questa vittoria. Lei ha combattuto una feroce concorrenza per conquistare il titolo di Campione del Mondo.
Il wakeskate cat. Junior, ci riserva una splendida medaglia d’argento per la nostra Nazionale grazie ai tricks del milanese Maurizio Marassi che viene superato solo dal francese Nicholas Labelle medaglia d’oro. Il bronzo lo conquista lo slovacco Julius Lang. Claudia Pagnini disputa anche la gara di wakeskate dove trova conferma della quarta posizione, al primo posto si attesta la più giovane tra le finaliste, la spagnola Telma Cester Garcia, davanti a Joelina Gerards (GER) e Juliette Labelle (FRA).
La russa Maria Volgina ha vinto la Finale tra le Girls (U15) in wakeboard mentre la francese Aurelie Godet al secondo e Marie Grüneberg terza (GER). La vittoria in finale tra i ragazzi wakeboard è andato a Oliver Orban (HUN). Max Milde (GER) ha preso l’argento, Luca Webley (AUS) bronzo.
Nella Categoria Veterans invece ottimo risultato per i nostri due italiani Rolando Fociani e Piero Pierani che si classificano rispettivamente 2° e 3° dietro al francese Raphael Menconi.
I Campionati del Mondo di Cable Wakeboard continuano con con la qualifiche delle Semifinali Uomini e Donne nella Categoria Open. Giovedi, 16:00 ora locale (23:00 in Italia), vedrà la finale nella categoria Seated. Le semifinali uomini e Donne Wakeskate si terranno il Venerdì, da ora locale 09:00 (16:00 CET), mentre le Finali si svolgeranno Sabato, 12 novembre dalle 13:00 ora locale (20:00 in Italia) .
Morelos Acuaski Action Park, Mexico, November 9, 2016 – Tension is rising at the 9th Cable Wakeboard World Championships at Morelos Acuaski Action Park, Mexico. While world champions in some categories have already been crowned, athletes and fans alike now eagerly await the finals in the Open Women and Men categories on Saturday, November 12th. All contests will be webcast live on www.cablewakeboard.net.
Guy Firer (ISR), currently ranked 13th in the IWWF Open Men world ranking, took the win at the final of the Junior Men Wakeboard (U19) category with the most entertaining run of the day. While Liam Rundholz (GER) got second, Florian Weiherer (GER) came in third.
At the Junior Women wakeboarders, Vanessa Weinhauer (GER) took first, followed by Juliette Labelle (FRA) and Joelina Gerards (GER). Having already won the European Junior Championship in September, Vanessa crowned a perfect year after a long injury break with this victory. She fought a fierce competition to take the title of World Champion. Overcome with emotion, all she could state on the podium was that she was “super super happy” about her win.
The Junior Men’s final in wakeskating saw Nicolas Labelle (FRA) taking first with a Backside Gazelle as the stand-out trick. Maurizio Marassi (ITA) placed second, third rank went to Julius Lang (SVK). At the Junior Ladies wakeskaters, Telma Cester Garcia (ESP) was crowned world champion with Joelina Gerards (GER) taking silver and Juliette Labelle (FRA) bronze.
Maria Volgina (RUS) won the Girls’ final (U15) in wakeboarding while Aurelie Godet (FRA) got second and Marie Grüneberg (GER) third. The victory in the Boys’ final in wakeboarding went to Oliver Orban (HUN). Max Milde (GER) took silver, Luke Webley (AUS) bronze.
The Cable Wakeboard World Championships now continue with the qualification and semifinal runs in the Open Men and Women categories. Thursday, 4 pm local time (11 pm CET), will see the finals in the Seated category. The Open Men and Women Wakeboard and Wakeskate semi-finals will be held on Friday, from 9 am local time (4 pm CET), while the finals will take place on Saturday, November 12th, from 1 pm local time (8 pm CET).
