Il Vans Park Series ha ufficialmente piantato la sua bandiera a Shanghai, Cina, mentre i campionati del mondo di Vans Park 2017 hanno incoronato Oskar Rozenberg Hallberg e Nora Vasconcellos come i nuovi campioni del mondo di skateboarding park terrain. Nel contest Donne, la nuova Campionessa del Mondo di VPS 2017 Nora Vasconcellos ha spaccato, abbandonando il suo stile senza sforzo e buttando fuori un infinità di tricks in tutto il percorso per reclamare la posizione di leader nelle semifinali e nelle finali. La sua vittoria celebrativa segna la sua prima grande vittoria sul tour VPS. La Vasconcellos è stata seguita dalla detentrice del titolo Brighton Zeuner, che ha padroneggiato le sue run con velocità e precisione per guadagnare il secondo posto, mentre Kisa Nakamura ha mostrato i suoi più grandi tricks per guadagnarsi il terzo posto.

Vans Park Series officially planted its flag in Shanghai, China, as the 2017 Vans Park Series World Championships crowned Oskar Rozenberg Hallberg and Nora Vasconcellos as the new world champions of park terrain skateboarding. This historic moment marks a first for the China skateboarding community, as the Vans Park Series brought the world’s elite park terrain skateboarders to the world-famous Bund waterfront in Shanghai for the greatest showcase of men’s and women’s park terrain skateboarding talent the world has ever seen.
Executing flawless example of true park terrain style, 2017 VPS world champion Oskar Rozenberg Hallberg produced an astonishing run that dominated every inch of the park with remarkable creativity and trick combinations. His glorious win marks his first podium this year since competing on the tour in 2016. Crowd favorite Pedro Barros did what he knows best, combining massive airs with relentless speed to earn 2nd place, alongside the season’s top-ranked Tour Challenger Tom Schaar, whose expert consistency placed him in 3rd.
In the Women’s competition, 2017 VPS women’s world champ Nora Vasconcellos breaks the mold, dropping her effortless style and bag of tricks across the course to claim the leading position in both the semi’s and finals. Her celebratory win marks her first major victory on the VPS tour. Vasconcellos was trailed closely by defending champion Brighton Zeuner, mastering her runs with speed and accuracy to earn 2nd, while Kisa Nakamura showed off her biggest tricks to land in 3rd.

Capping off an incredible international tour that saw an ambitious field of Pros, Challengers and new regional talent rise to the occasion, the Vans Park Series salutes the 2017 World Tour in Shanghai, China with two new World Champions of park terrain skateboarding and the establishment of next year’s elite VPS Pro Tour class.
